A Risk Management Committee Member is wanted to work on a three (3) years contract by the Department of Employment and Labour. The appointed member will be working at Head office, Pretoria in Gauteng. Members will be paid according to the Department’s approved rates in terms of remuneration.
REQUIREMENTS
CRMA/CIA/CA (SA) or a relevant three-year tertiary or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Risk Management, and Auditing, or a relevant three-year tertiary or similar degree in Accounting, Risk Management, and Auditing. For appointment as a member of the Department of Labour: Head Office’s Risk Management Committee, you must have a professional qualification and connection with a professional recognized organisation. Candidates should have more than ten years of executive management experience in governance, risk management, and internal controls, as well as experience serving on oversight committees. An individual with a vested interest in the government providing better service to its constituents.
Knowledge: Candidates must have considerable experience in risk management, governance, internal and external audits, anti-fraud and corruption, compliance management, and business continuity management, as well as comprehensive knowledge in labour, insurance, legal, auditing, and finance. Applicants should be self-sufficient and aware of the status of their Risk Management Committee roles. A well-informed individual who stays current on risk management, internal and external auditing professions and developmental factors, departmental values, technical expertise, and DPSA recommendations for national departments. Skills: Ability to analyze analytically and communicate effectively Courage to challenge answers and raise pertinent questions, as well as a willingness to devote time and energy to serving the public interest Encourage openness and honesty, as well as a healthy dose of scepticism and a professional demeanour. DUTIES
Oversee governance, risk management, internal control, legal and regulatory compliance, external and internal audit, anti-fraud and corruption, compliance management, and the business continuity plan. Assist the Accounting Officer/Authority in carrying out his or her duties effectively. Assist in the development of trust and confidence in the Department’s management. Ensure that all of the tasks outlined in the Risk Management Committee Charter are met.
