The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Call Centre Agent to join its team at the Head Office in Pretoria. Position Overview:

  • Salary: R202,233 – R235,611 per annum (excluding benefits)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Handle incoming and outgoing calls, log inquiries, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • System Updates: Record client interactions in the Customer Care Application and ensure client data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Investigation & Resolution: Address customer queries efficiently, providing clear and timely feedback.
  • Email Support: Respond to customer emails with the same professionalism and attention as phone interactions.
  • Customer Education: Assist clients in understanding SASSA’s processes and available services.
  • Call Routing: Direct calls to the appropriate officials for further assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4): Completed Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems and the Customer Care Application.
  • Experience: 0-1 year in customer service or call center roles.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of the SOCPEN system, SASSA policies, and social assistance procedures.
